The parking situation at this spot is absolutely dreadful. Be cautious of John, who will hassle you about where you've chosen to park while you wait for someone. And there he'll be, puffing away on his cigarette in the parking lot.
I ain't one for writin' reviews much, but I gotta say, my time at this spot was just plain terrible. I'm a regular at Shoppers Drug Mart, go there a couple times a week, and I've never come across someone as unhelpful and close-minded as that front store manager Breanne.
UPDATE: Had a chat with the Pharmacist and Store Owner, Aimee. Aimee was top-notch, pleasant, and a delight to speak with; she did right by me. Changed my rating from one star to three.
Truly the loveliest Boots Pharmacy to visit. The team there are absolutely wonderful, always ready to assist and so polite. The store is consistently spotless as well! Having visited numerous Boots outlets over time, this one stands out as the ultimate choice. I wholeheartedly endorse paying a visit here if you require anything!
The Pharmacy is spotless and well-organized, making it a breeze to locate items without spending ages wandering around.
I must say, popping into this establishment is always a delight; immaculate, fully equipped, and the staff are unfailingly gracious, well-informed, and eager to assist. It's a real cut above in terms of customer service compared to some other GTA stores!
Even though the shop was quite busy due to seniors' day, it was impressively well-stocked and the checkout line moved quickly. We easily found everything we were looking for, and the cashier was extremely friendly and chatty during our transaction. Definitely one of the better experiences I've had at a Shoppers.
I had a dreadful experience with the Store Manager.
Update: The Pharmacist and Owner came through in the end and resolved the issue.
Had to use it while in the cottage country over the summer. Definitely the rudest checkout ladies you'll come across at any Shoppers anywhere. This establishment does not do the brand justice.
Let me tell you, this Shoppers Drug Mart is top-notch. The staff is so helpful, the aisles are tidy and easy to navigate, the pharmacy team is on point and ensures you grasp your prescription, fantastic deals on must-have products, earning points for freebies...and don't even get me started on the new (and bigger) location! I absolutely adore shopping here, it's a real gem!
I had a very unpleasant experience at this pharmacy. It was the worst service I have ever received from a Shoppers store. When I went to pick up my medication, they only gave me 20 pills when I was supposed to receive over 110. Nobody informed me about the error, and I only realized it when I got home and counted the pills in the bottle. This is not acceptable, as medication is not something to be taken lightly.
I called the pharmacy to address the issue, and they asked me to come back and pick up the remaining pills. This meant another 30-minute drive and additional expenses on my part. When I returned to the pharmacy, the staff seemed clueless and unable to locate my medication under my name. It took a lot of frustration and anger on my part for them to finally find the missing pills. It's disappointing that they only seem to act efficiently when customers are upset.
I am quite disappointed with the customer service provided by this pharmacy. The Pharmacist displayed rudeness and a lack of basic interpersonal skills and understanding of customer service.
When I arrived 30 minutes after being told my prescription would be ready, it had not even been started.
Approaching the counter, the Pharmacist (a white male with a receding hairline) was finishing up with another customer. Instead of acknowledging me or letting me know he would be back to assist, he simply walked away to work on something else.
I was charged the full price for my prescription, and when I questioned this, I was informed that our drug plan had declined. However, after looking into it further, it turned out that the Pharmacist was using my wife's old plan instead of our current one. When I asked why they hadn't submitted it to the correct plan as they had done the previous week, he insisted that it was my responsibility to resolve the issue.
This incident was the final straw for us with this pharmacy. My wife and I will be transferring all of our prescriptions to another pharmacy.
We have encountered issues with this pharmacy in the past as well:
- Prescriptions not being ready on time
- Prescription cancelled incorrectly upon annual renewal, resulting in an attempt to charge me full price for the same item
- Problems with the auto-pay system, where they charged me at pickup despite my credit card already being charged, and then suggested it was my problem to sort out with the card issuer
- Staff leaving customers waiting at the counter without acknowledgment or assistance, particularly the pharmacist
There are other pharmacies in the area, and we have decided to switch to a different one.
Always so friendly and always come through (with a smile) when last-minute prescriptions are required.
I made an appointment for my covid vaccine and got a confirmation. But when I got there, the pharmacist was so rude and didn't even apologize. He just said to come back tomorrow. I live half an hour away and it's a real hassle.
Popped into this place to pick up a phone charger and found only self-checkouts available. Quite unacceptable! I would have walked out if I didn't urgently require the charger. If you wish to earn my business, you must offer human assistance. It's incredibly impolite and disrespectful not to do so, and I will not be returning to any establishment that opts not to. You can definitely improve, Shoppers.
Just a heads up - This here is the only RBC bank machine in town.
I must say, the pharmacy at Haliburton Shoppers Drug Mart is quite disappointing. My prescription has automatic refill and notification features, but it still isn't filled on time. Despite their subpar reliability and customer service, I've grown accustomed to their shortcomings. Many others waiting in-store have echoed similar complaints about delayed prescriptions. Everything seemed to run smoothly when Aimee Mansfield was in charge. However, things have gone downhill since the new owners took over. The customer service is simply embarrassing.
The new pharmacy spot is top notch, with a fantastic team and the self-service checkout is so convenient for a quick in-and-out.
So annoying, mate! Massive queues and they refuse to open another till. It's like they're pushing everyone to use self-checkout. Definitely won't be going back there again, that's for sure.
Hello, I called today to ask about getting blister packs for my medication. I don't have insurance coverage and I could really use some assistance in organizing my medications. They informed me that it would cost over $100 per month to have this service, which amounts to $1,200 per year.
Fast service at the pharmacy. The assistance from the staff inside the store was excellent when I needed a specific item.
