Nurses are absolutely wonderful, and doctors are quite pleasant. However, it would be most beneficial to have additional staff to enhance efficiency.

I must caution against seeking care at the emergency ward under these circumstances; it is advisable to prioritize reaching out for ambulance services. The administration overseeing this establishment should address and rectify such lapses promptly. There's simply no justification for such subpar service delivery.

I would like to express my gratitude to the A&E team and paramedics who looked after my husband. The response time of the ambulance was incredibly swift, and the paramedics were outstanding in swiftly transporting us from Glamor Lake to the Accident & Emergency department in just 15 minutes. The medical staff at the A&E were wonderful and welcoming; they attended to him promptly and provided excellent care.

I was up at my cottage and brought my toddler in because she had been running a fever for 2 days. Upon arrival at the hospital, she was being a bit challenging, but given that she was a poorly toddler, it was to be expected. The nurses were fantastic, trying to stay calm and handle her with care. When the doctor came in, he didn't ask me what was wrong, just checked her ears and said she was fine, that it would pass on its own. The following day, her symptoms got worse, so I took her to the hospital near my house as she was starting to get dehydrated. After seeing the doctor there, it turned out she had a throat infection. So, my daughter spent a whole day deteriorating because the doctor at the previous emergency room didn't feel like doing a thorough examination. I won't be returning there. I'd rather make the drive to another town.

The staff at this medical facility were the friendliest I've ever come across. What an exceptional experience! This hospital definitely deserves a 5-star rating.

However, the primary issue remains the excessive wait times overall.

This hospital, I tell ya, it's like a proper madhouse these days. Ever since that Minden ER shut down, poor old Haliburton hospital has been overrun with all its patients. They're really bustin' their chops tryin' to keep up with the demand, but it's a right shame, innit? I reckon closin' down a busy ER without a proper plan is just settin' another place up for failure. It's like they're tryin' to sway us towards privatization by makin' our public health care system a bloomin' nightmare.

I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude to the EMS, Volunteer Firefighters, Doctors, and all the staff at Haliburton Hospital. On Sunday, October 1st, at 9:30 pm, I was brought to the hospital with intense abdominal pain. The staff were incredibly kind and efficient in caring for me. I was kept overnight and made comfortable before being transferred to Lindsay the next morning for a CT Scan, followed by emergency surgery for acute appendicitis. Everyone involved made my unbearable pain more bearable. Thank you.
