Our experience partaking in Melissa's strollerfit classes has been absolutely phenomenal! I commenced 3 months post my initial wee one's arrival, and instantly felt embraced within the perfect setting. Melissa articulated exercises with precision and offered a range suitable for all fitness levels. She was observant and aided with proper form during each session. As a Kinesiologist, I deeply appreciate her expertise, particularly in postpartum fitness and the realm of motherhood. My aspiration was to engage in outdoor activities whilst connecting with other local moms, and this objective was undeniably met. The class ambiance that Melissa has fostered is splendid, boasting an incredible group of mums. The class timings and location are impeccable, catering to babies whether they are awake, asleep, newborns, or toddling around. (Expecting mothers have also joyously participated!) We eagerly await the revival of classes come next May. If you're on the fence about joining, I wholeheartedly urge you to give a class a go!

I've had the pleasure of meeting Melissa around 3 months ago and I must say, I'm truly grateful for her unwavering support on my journey to regaining control of my body post the birth of my twins. I was fortunate enough to participate in a number of Stroller Fit sessions before the season ended, and have since joined in-person classes, one-on-one sessions, as well as Zoom sessions. Melissa has been incredibly helpful in providing personalized advice on my breathing techniques and form during classes. In just a few short months, I've already noticed a significant improvement in my flexibility and strength. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much further I could push myself in lunges and squats, all thanks to the advice and encouragement from Melissa! Following the birth of my child, I was hesitant to resume weightlifting because of the pressure on my pelvic floor from delivery. I felt frail, achy, and fatigued. Now, I am no longer experiencing soreness and cautiously handling my baby; instead, I am embracing movement! I've been sweating it out at Melissa's studio for about 6 months now and I must say, it's been a jolly good time. I've partaken in 2 sessions of the mum and baby classes, a spot of yoga, and 10 stroller fit classes.
Never before had I set foot in a gym or attended a fitness class, but after the birth of my son, I thought, "Why not give it a go?" And I'm ever so glad I did. The warmth and inclusivity I've experienced from day one has been splendid. Stepping well out of my comfort zone, I found unwavering support from Melissa and Jacqueline. They met me where I was at and helped me flourish on this new fitness journey I embarked upon. They offer encouragement to progress, without a hint of pressure or guilt when I find a move a tad challenging.
Since joining, I've noticed a grand increase in strength and overall health. The camaraderie amongst fellow lasses in similar life stages is truly uplifting.

Initially, I was a bit unsure as a tired new Mom, struggling to imagine how I could muster the energy for an hour-long workout after months of sleepless nights and improper eating habits. Yet, I am absolutely thrilled that I took the leap! Melissa expertly crafts workouts that are not only safe but also highly beneficial for postpartum recovery. She leads you through each exercise, demonstrates techniques, offers various modifications for different fitness levels, provides regular check-ins, and offers constructive feedback throughout the session. Melissa is incredibly motivating and showers you with positive reinforcement. The best decision I made after having a baby was beginning stroller fit classes with Melissa. She was so welcoming and offered different workout levels tailored to each person's needs.

After that, I started having one-on-one personal training sessions with her, and the results have been amazing. I also loved attending the Mom and Baby fitness level 2 class. It was a fantastic workout and a great way to connect with other moms.

I cannot express how wonderful my experience has been with Melissa and her programs. After having two babies in less than 2 years, I was feeling quite weak. Dealing with lower back pain and weak abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, common issues for many women after childbirth, was a struggle for me.

Most fitness programs claim that you're good to go after just 6 weeks postpartum, but Melissa took the time to assess my individual needs. I first met Melissa at Strollerfit classes that a friend invited me to. Right away, I noticed her kindness. She didn't assume anyone knew what to do or where they were at in their fitness journey, yet she was able to cater to all levels of experience. As a former athlete, I was initially doubtful because I thought I already knew everything she was teaching... but I was proven wrong. After just one session, I felt muscles in my core that I didn't even know were still there!
After a few classes, I scheduled a personal session with her, and within weeks, the pain I had been enduring for months started to improve significantly.

Melissa is always happy to assist with fussy babies, and what I appreciate most is that she treats everyone equally. Her kindness and professionalism are exceptional. She has created a supportive and safe environment for mothers that promotes self-love, which is truly invaluable.

Currently, I am participating in indoor classes with Melissa, and I feel like I am making great progress in my postpartum recovery without feeling pressured to "bounce back" quickly. The community she has fostered is truly special, and worth every penny. I cannot recommend her enough.

I joined Stroller Fit after having my first baby as my friend recommended her and the class. Prior to being pregnant I used to do at home workouts (which I still do) but Melissa has been a saving grace. She taught me proper form and breathing techniques and is so knowledgeable and patient. She provides different levels for all workouts to suit you best. Being able to bring my baby to workouts and connect with other moms is a bonus. I’m joining her strength training program this fall and can’t wait!! I highly recommend Melissa and any of her programs.
