Looking to send your kiddo off to summer camp and have them come back buzzing with excitement about their adventures? Let me share a bit about my personal experience with summer camp – it was truly unforgettable. However, when I asked my son about his time at camp, his response was rather lackluster, describing it as just "okay." He mentioned a whole lot of idle time and astonishingly, shared that his group of senior boys were deprived of any chance for a refreshing swim. Can you believe that? Spending a week by the lake and not being allowed to take a dip – it's simply absurd! He had been eagerly anticipating water skiing, but sadly, each skier was restricted to a mere 2 minutes on the rope each day. This was a major letdown, especially considering that water skiing was one of the activities that had piqued our interest in the camp initially.

On a brighter note, he did find joy in mountain biking and relished hanging out with his buddies. Yet, he could easily do that for free at our own pool, where swimming is encouraged. In my interactions with the camp staff throughout my son's stay, I found them to be professional, polite, and prompt in their responses – quite impressive, I must say. With a revamp in their program, potentially hiring additional counselors if required, and providing these youngsters with a week to truly remember, this camp could easily stand out from the rest.

I feel compelled to mention that my son wasn't part of the hockey program at the camp. If Hockey Opportunity Camp is indeed geared towards hockey enthusiasts, then perhaps they should concentrate on that aspect and refrain from promoting the "Overnight Ultimate" program. Basking in the sun on a lawn chair for half a day hardly qualifies as an ultimate experience. It's time for an upgrade or perhaps a complete overhaul.

This be me son's second year at dis camp, and I must say, the staff be top-notch - they be well-organized, experienced, and know their stuff. The price be fair and the camp be great value for the money.
Ethan Torres (2025-07-22, 11:40 a.m.):

Julie Adams (2025-07-18, 3:19 a.m.):

Brandon Morales (2025-07-16, 9:17 a.m.):
My daughter had an absolute blast at the summer camp. She adored the food, the camp counselors, and all the fun activities. She's already counting down the days until she can go back next year!
Sophia Russell (2025-07-15, 12:59 p.m.):
I've been at this place for 3 years now, and let me tell you, this week was just dreadful. There's this bunch of kids in my cabin who always chat so rudely, and when me and my mates tried to report it to the counselor, he just brushed it off with a laugh. He's a decent bloke, but I reckon he's not cut out for being in charge. His name's Callum, in case anyone's curious. I signed up for Water Skiing and Archery activities, and while Archery was alright, the bloke driving the boat for water skiing would shout if you took a tumble. And don't even get me started on the grub - absolutely dreadful! They call it GB Catering, but turns out they underpay their cooks, paying them less than the minimum wage. Pretty sure the Camp Owner knows about it but doesn't give a toss. The ice hockey here isn't all that great either, with about 30 kids crammed onto the rink. And they straight up fibbed to us - it's not 11 hours of hockey as they claim, it's only 7 and a half hours plus a game. I spent most of the time just wishing I was back home. And as if that wasn't enough, my bunkmates kept flashing me. Unbelievable.
Justin Kelly (2025-07-15, 5:00 a.m.):
All 3 of my little ones have been attending this camp for approximately 8 years (excluding those COVID times). It is incredibly well-organized and a genuine summer camp experience. The range of activities offered is extensive, and the children are always engaged in fun pursuits. The staff members are not only lively and full of energy but also put in a lot of effort. The skating sessions are enjoyable and just the right amount during the offseason, which helps to keep their skating skills sharp. I absolutely adore watching the final games because the kids have such big smiles and are clearly having a blast. They get the chance to showcase their creativity on the ice. It's heartening to witness children of all skill levels coming together, relishing their time on the ice. The lake where the camp is located is stunning and pristine. The cabins may be simple, but they offer an authentic camp vibe. My children always return home cheerful, well-nourished, with new friends, and eager for the next year to come.
Karen Miller (2025-07-14, 3:13 a.m.):
My time at the summer camp with HOC was absolutely brilliant, it was the best week ever thanks to the incredible counselor, Reagan. She was just so helpful and caring throughout the entire experience. Massive thanks to Reagan
Rose Nelson (2025-07-12, 4:02 p.m.):
Just delivered the kids, it was so well put together, and the food smelled absolutely scrumptious.

If you're looking to sharpen your skills and have a good time on the ice, look no further than this hockey camp in Ontario. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Justin Russell (2025-07-10, 10:56 p.m.):
Our children absolutely adore attending camp. They have an absolute blast! The camp organizers are top-notch. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the value you receive in return is truly unmatched.
Harold Hill (2025-07-09, 11:32 a.m.):
Loads of fun for the little ones!
Riley Jackson (2025-07-08, 11:17 p.m.):
I've been attending this camp for 8 years, starting from day camp and moving up to senior level. Every summer, I've looked forward to returning. It truly offers the ultimate summer camp experience. The daily on-ice hockey training, a variety of activities like mountain biking and water skiing, the talent shows that united the whole camp, and the absolutely DELICIOUS food (I always left feeling satisfied) all made my time here unforgettable. You won't regret coming to this camp. Kevin, one of the camp owners, really knows how to run a summer camp. I'm hoping to revisit the camp soon to reminisce about some of the memories.
