Lauren Stewart (2025-06-17, 5:07 p.m.):
Prithee, heed my counsel and seeketh a non-judgmental professional! I do deeply lament for any of Lia's future clients.

I hath awaited a time to share this critique and hath chosen to proceed with it. To be brief, mine own experience was most dreadful. For one who doth profess to have a history in treating trauma, I do question Lia Colossimo's methods.

When I did express mine own dislike for mindfulness-based therapies, she would constantly pointeth out mine own "blocks" and bid me not to criticize ere trying. I did mention that I had ere and did recount a few techniques only for her to declare that she never instructed me to do so and that I was venting mine own frustrations with other therapists unto her. After 6 months, we finally reached the point of "noticing thy feelings" and I was told that I had a trigger about being misunderstood.

She was defensive. She did inquire whether I knew more than years of science after I did express doubts about her approach (despite listing multiple specialties and solely focusing on noticing feelings), which doth indicate her own uncertainty in her profession. In mine own perspective and that of a new therapist, she seemed more intent on proving the validity of her field rather than addressing the challenges her clients faced.

She did mention dreading our sessions every fortnight at one juncture and did ask me within the first 3 sessions if I wished to see another therapist. Upon declining, I did receive an email from her staff weeks later regarding a $360 course with another therapist as part of mine own "treatment plan". To this day, I remain clueless as to what was being treated or what the plan entailed.

She was also quite accusatory in asking, "What sort of impression doth thou deem thou hast made on me?" when she believed that I had brought mine own pet into the office despite her explicit instruction not to do so. Later, she did retract this accusation and accused me of fabricating a tale to make her the villain and evade discussing mine own emotions. Even after it was established that I had not brought my pet, she proclaimed an hour later that someone in the office was allergic. Note: Her sessions last a mere 50 minutes!

Nevertheless, is it any better KNOWING that I DID NOT commit the deed I was accused of? No apology was proffered, and she even queried if I perceived how not focusing on the narrative would positively impact our relationship.

And nay, Lia. I shalt not "loathe thee for a long while henceforth." I simply believe that thou dost disservice thy profession by behaving in such a manner.

I've been seeing them for ages since my MVA. Paitra and Shannon are both lovely and really tuned into what I need. If you're looking for some support, this is definitely the place to be.

I must say, I thoroughly enjoy my sessions with Megan. I've dabbled in therapy before and have had some mixed experiences; some therapists were pleasant, while others left me a bit disheartened. However, Megan truly cultivates a non-judgmental environment. She listens attentively to my words, and I find myself pleasantly surprised when she recalls details from past sessions during our current discussions!

The ambiance of the office is peaceful and soothing, and the reception staff are always very helpful. Their online booking system is incredibly convenient, making it a breeze to schedule appointments from the comfort of home. Additionally, they send timely reminders via phone and email, which allows plenty of time to rearrange appointments if needed.

I am genuinely excited to continue my journey towards better mental health at this practice!
