Eventually, a mild prescription was given anyway. The glasses didn't make a difference, so I took her to Vue Cubed Vision Therapy in Guelph where they conducted much more thorough testing. After around 8 months of weekly eye exercises, her headaches and vision issues disappeared, and she no longer requires glasses. Her focus at school has improved as her eyes are no longer strained. This week marked her final session, and she was really sad it was ending because the staff were incredibly friendly and she will miss her sessions! I highly recommend this therapy, it's definitely worth every penny!
