Prices be goin' through the roof, mate. President Choice water done gone up by 50% and Nielsen 2% milk up by 20 cents. Keep an eye out when you're doing your grocery shopping, you don't wanna get caught out!

To the Karen in the white all-wheel-drive vehicle picking up your online order: it took you 20 minutes to load your car, and then you had the nerve to sit in it for another 4 to 5 minutes while the staff were waiting in the heavy snow with my order. I started my car and moved up behind you to signal that it was time to go - we all pay for this service, after all! I'm just glad I didn't approach your car directly, but next time I absolutely will! In the midst of a snowy storm with treacherous roads, I was not impressed. I wish I had taken down your license plate number, grrr!

The top-notch grocery store in Haliburton County. I understand it's a seasonal cottage destination with a modest local community, yet the grocery stores in the neighboring town simply do not measure up to those found in bustling cities. However, this particular store rivals the quality, variety, and affordability of its urban counterparts.
Donald Robinson (2025-08-09, 4:58 p.m.):
Charming, abundantly stocked and with extremely convenient shopping hours. They even provide complimentary fruit for the little ones while you browse! The store layout can be a bit tricky in places, but all in all, it makes for a delightful grocery shopping experience.
Hannah Rogers (2025-08-08, 8:13 p.m.):
During our last visit to the cottage, we had a pleasant experience at this grocery store. However, on this occasion, we encountered an issue with two packages of chicken we purchased that were spoiling prematurely. The packaged date indicated that they were packaged two days prior to our afternoon shopping trip, both boneless and bone-in chicken thighs. It seems they should have been discounted the day after packaging for rapid sale.

I went to the store yesterday to do my grocery shopping and when I got back home, I noticed they had charged me for two cantaloupes instead of two squash, which were on sale for $.77 per pound. The total for the two cantaloupes came to $9.98, which seemed a bit steep for squash. Therefore, I returned to the store today, but to a different one as the previous store was far away. The staff at the new store refused to honor the sale price on the squash as the sale had already ended. I found this to be poor customer service. It wasn't my mistake that they rang up cantaloupes instead of squash in the first place. I believe there should have been some flexibility in this situation, considering it was their error, not mine. As a result, I decided not to purchase the squash. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience.

A wide array of products, just like this here spacious store. It ain't usually too crowded, and the folks workin' there are typically right friendly.
Got some decent prices, although prices in Haliburton tend to be a mite higher than what you'd find in, say, Toronto. But unless you're weighin' up whether to shop in Toronto or Haliburton, that don't much matter. And, considerin' the lovely and peaceful vibe of central Ontario, I reckon it's a fair trade-off.
It's also right by the beer store, so you can snag your brews on the same trip to the west side of town. Cheers to that!
Evelyn Bailey (2025-08-01, 5:58 p.m.):
Most items are reliably stocked. Of course, one should anticipate occasional instances of items being out of stock. The prices are fantastic and the variety is impressive. The staff members are friendly and well-informed. All in all, a splendid place to do one's shopping.
Jonathan Davis (2025-08-01, 5:55 p.m.):
I found myself scrutinizing the items I picked off the shelves quite closely, as many of them had already passed their expiration date. However, I must say that the checkout staff were exceptionally friendly and pleasant.
Alice Nelson (2025-07-28, 7:49 a.m.):
My top store in the neighbourhood. Coming all the way from Eagle Lake and it never fails to deliver!
Judy Davis (2025-07-27, 1:29 p.m.):
I popped into the store to grab just one item and hopped in the line for 1-12 items. To my dismay, a lovely lady in front of me had about 40 items in her cart, but no one mentioned to her that it was an express lane. I patiently waited as she leisurely placed each item on the counter for scanning, one by one. Meanwhile, a fellow shopper with just one bag of buns queued up behind me. There were at least three other cashiers open, but alas, we were stuck in the slow lane. Oh, the joys of grocery shopping!
Julia Foster (2025-07-27, 10:49 a.m.):
I must say, this grocery store is simply splendid! It's always so neat and tidy, and they never seem to run out of anything. The fruits and vegetables are as fresh as can be, and the variety is simply marvellous. The employees are always so friendly and willing to assist with a smile! I particularly appreciate how they offer to help pack your groceries, it's a real lifesaver when you're shopping with children in tow!
Austin Green (2025-07-25, 11:42 p.m.):
I've been visiting this grocery store for quite some time now, but only recently decided to give their online shopping service (PC Express) a try. It was a breeze and they even included a free dark chocolate bar in my order. How lovely! Thank you!
Rachel Cox (2025-07-24, 10:32 p.m.):
The staff at the local grocery store are really friendly, always ready to lend a hand and easy to spot if you have any queries. In terms of prices, they're pretty much on par with what you'd find in Haliburton. Every now and then, you might stumble upon some great deals, but overall, it can be a tad pricier compared to other towns and cities.
Michelle Rivera (2025-07-24, 9:09 a.m.):
I popped down to the grocery store earlier and decided to give the self checkout a go. Upon getting back home, I realized that I had accidentally scanned a few items twice. Silly mistake on my part! However, a lovely young lady went out of her way to assist me in resolving the issue. Her service truly exceeded my expectations... I regret not asking for her name. Very impressed with the level of attention and care she provided!
Kevin Taylor (2025-07-23, 8:22 p.m.):
This grocery store is huge, mate! I was quite surprised. It's like a proper Fortinos store. The place was spotless, and there were heaps of parking spaces. Super convenient right off the highway. I'll definitely pop back in next time I'm in Haliburton. They've got a decent selection of natural foods and gluten-free goodies as well. Cheers!
Carol Graham (2025-07-23, 11:27 a.m.):
The staff and service at this grocery store are top-notch. The store itself is modern and a real asset to Haliburton County. The pharmacy staff are absolutely wonderful. However, when it comes to groceries, the prices and selection leave something to be desired. They are quite high and feel like they are taking advantage of customers, just like many other grocery stores. That's why a lot of locals prefer to do their shopping out of town or online.
Margaret James (2025-07-23, 11:18 a.m.):
Tried the oatmeal raisin cookies and they were barely cooked. It was like buying a $7.49 box of flat cookie dough.
Sean Ford (2025-07-18, 3:50 a.m.):
The bakers at this grocery store are absolutely brilliant! They really went the extra mile to make my niece's birthday cake perfect. She was over the moon with it. I would definitely recommend getting your cakes made here.
