I 'ave bin seein' Alia Ziesman for Therapy fer about a month now, and I must say, I feel blessed to 'ave chosen 'er as me therapist. It may 'ave only been a month, but I've already noticed a significant improvement in me Anxiety. She truly understands the emotional struggles that us Immigrants face. It ain't easy bein' open about yer insecurities and past traumas, but with Alia, it just comes natural. There's somethin' powerful 'bout bein' truly listened to and lettin' go of all them negative thoughts and self-doubts. While I give meself credit for puttin' in the work, I know I wouldn't 'ave made as much progress without Alia's guidance. I could keep talkin' about 'er for ages because she 'elped me find that sense of calm I've been searchin' for for years. It's a journey, a long one at that, and I'm committed to keep growin' and healin' from me past traumas.
Thank you to Yours counselling services for providin' us with this opportunity to start healin' ourselves.

A few weeks back, I began my counseling journey with a therapist here. The initial consultation and intake all went smoothly, and during the intake, the therapist even walked me through some box breathing exercises. However, when it came to my first actual session, things didn't go as planned. Despite having shared my traumas just a week prior during the intake, my therapist seemed to have forgotten about them. Instead, we ended up spending around 15 minutes on box breathing once again without delving into anything deep or serious.

I found myself taking the lead during the session, which was unexpected since I had never been to therapy before and was hoping for more guidance. It felt rushed, especially because the therapist was about to head off on vacation that same day. It seemed like she was just trying to wrap up the session quickly so she could leave. Right as I was starting to open up about a traumatic experience, she mentioned needing to take a bathroom break and cut the session short, offering a few extra minutes in the next one as compensation. However, since I didn't feel like I gained much from that session, I didn't see the point in rebooking.

Despite her kindness, I couldn't shake the feeling that she wasn't fully invested in exploring my issues further, resulting in our sessions feeling quite superficial. Additionally, the environment she created didn't feel conducive to opening up comfortably. Although I don't believe she is a bad person, I felt that my time and money weren't utilized effectively. I was still charged the full $160, even though she arrived late and left early.

It's been a while since I saw her, and I haven't been contacted regarding the missed time or her return from vacation, which makes me suspect that she might be aware of the shortcomings in our sessions and has chosen not to reach out. I'm now working with a new therapist who, in a shorter time frame, has already helped me make progress in overcoming my barriers.

I prefer not to disclose her name. I'm sharing this to advise new clients to thoroughly assess their therapist before committing to further sessions and costs.

I've been seeing Linda Thai for a few months now, and she's the best counselor I've encountered. I've had a few counselors in the past, and she truly stands out. With her guidance, I've made significant strides and I'm hopeful for a future where I rely on her less, haha.
Laura King (2025-05-17, 3:10 p.m.):
I've been seeing Christina for therapy for nearly a year now, and it's been quite the new adventure for me as I hadn't stuck with it regularly before. However, I must say it has been a splendid experience. It's easy to open up and have a chat during our sessions, sometimes delving into general life topics. Christina is empathetic and incredibly perceptive. The therapy style is entirely tailored to my needs, and she has been exceptionally flexible, especially when I've had to change session times at the last minute. It's been a fantastic journey, and I definitely plan on continuing. 🌟
