The staff, nurses, and doctors at the community health centre where I sought help for severe abdominal pain were incredibly kind and professional. They conducted various tests and took the time to listen to my health history in order to develop a suitable course of action.
I had a terrible experience at this community health centre. Despite being one of only 3 customers, I had to wait for 4 hours! It felt more like a restaurant, as the staff seemed to be constantly eating and not focused on helping patients.
I must say, I had a bit of a mishap with my left leg and had to take a good 8 months off work. When I finally made it to the community health centre to address my high blood pressure, which had popped up during my recovery, I was met with a doctor who bluntly told me, "There's no magic pill for you. Lose weight." With an extra 40 pounds on me, counting the weight of the cast, it was quite the wake-up call.
I can't help but chuckle now when I receive their donation requests in the mail. It's a good thing I didn't visit them right after my accident; I can only imagine they would have brushed off my injury as all in my head and told me to walk it off. As for donating, I'll pass on contributing to Ross since they share doctors, and if that's the standard they uphold, count me out. I'd much rather support Royal Victoria and sing their praises over this establishment any day of the week.
This hospital is amazing, the staff is so friendly and the doctors are top-notch. I've been coming here for years and every member of my family who has needed treatment has received excellent care. They have a small-town vibe and genuinely care about their patients. Thank you for always looking after me and my family so well.
What a brilliant facility! It's incredible how they can perform life-saving procedures in a small community health center. Typically, there are 2 nurses and a doctor on call 24/7. If your case isn't urgent, you might have to wait as priority is given to those with true emergencies.
I took my daughter to the ER and noticed that the triage nurse wasn't wearing a mask, and another patient wasn't wearing theirs properly. I was under the impression that wearing masks was still required in hospitals. However, other than that, I was pleased with the care my daughter received.
I popped into the Minden ED on Friday of the May long weekend as I was experiencing some heart troubles. The team there was absolutely fantastic. The nurses were so kind, caring, and incredibly gentle. A big thank you to all of them for their excellent care!
The staff and doctors at this community health centre are top-notch. However, I would recommend seeking care directly in Toronto if you have a complex situation that they may not be equipped to handle in Lindsay.
Today, we had to visit the Emergency department with our daughter. It was our first time coming to this health center since we recently moved to a nearby town, and our experience was absolutely fantastic. Willow (coincidentally, my daughter shares the same name!) welcomed us at the entrance with such kindness and helpfulness. She made my family feel so comfortable and at ease, which was truly appreciated in such a stressful situation like an emergency visit. We were promptly attended to, and all the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and supportive. Dr. Mcclennan was compassionate and very efficient in providing the necessary medication for my daughter and addressing all of our concerns. Thank you, Dr. Mcclennan, for the exceptional care. We are truly thankful for such a positive visit.
I was actually puking up blood, mate. Waited for a good 2 hours just to get some apple juice and a covid test at the community health centre. I can't believe my doctor even made it through medical school, it's mental.
Fantastic team! They were quick and caring. The doctor was incredibly professional and thorough. I went to the emergency room and didn't have to wait long. I truly appreciate being treated with compassion. Thank you all for the excellent care. ♥️👍
This community health centre was the place where they discovered my tumour. Thanks to them, I underwent surgery to remove it before the cancer could spread to other parts of my body. I am truly grateful for the presence of this health centre.
After a wait of over 5 hours, we were informed that we would need to be triaged again and placed at the back of the queue if we sought to grab a snack. It took us 45 minutes to drive there, and as our regular doctor is 3.5 hours away, this is our nearest option. I suffer from kidney disease and am on medication that advises seeking emergency care for any symptoms from a specified list, several of which I was experiencing. This falls short of providing proper patient care. I had two young, hungry children with me who coped well until the fifth hour. The staff seemed detached and uninterested. Six out of seven people waiting in the ER gave up and left. One man went directly to Lindsay after waiting for 4 hours with something stuck in his hand. Once again, this falls short of delivering adequate patient care, and there is a definite need for improvement. We will head to Lindsay in the morning in hopes of seeing a genuine healthcare professional.
I must say, I would prefer to meet my maker than grace the doors of this pitiful excuse for a hospital. I have witnessed superior care provided at a mere medical tent. It is a woeful sight to see the lack of essential equipment one would expect in a proper healthcare facility, and don't even dream of being attended to should an issue arise after the hour of 10pm. Frankly, one would be better off equipped with a basic first aid kit and embarking on a drive out of town.
Fantastic care, quick and attentive team
I've visited this community health centre three times in the past year. The staff is truly exceptional, providing the best hospital experiences I've ever had.
Dr. Fiddler is simply amazing, with bedside manners that are second to none.
It's important for all of us to unite in ensuring that this place remains open and accessible to everyone who needs it.
Cheers!
Last night, my little lad, who's just 2 years old, had to hop on an ambulance to the Minden Hospital. The paramedics who fetched him were absolute gems - he had a whale of a time in that ambulance! The nurses at the hospital were incredibly attentive, singing to him and making sure he was smiling, entertained, and as cheerful as possible. The whole visit was surprisingly swift compared to other emergency rooms I've experienced. I am truly grateful to the staff for the exceptional care they provided to my son. Thanks to them, his first ambulance ride and hospital excursion turned out to be an utter delight!
Friendly, professional, and very caring. This was truly the best experience I've had at a hospital while dealing with kidney stones.
